Who is this late bitch anyways? I might respect his faggot ass bullshit opinion if he weren’t posting mixes that anyone who visited any of the other blogs he’s linking to on his site hadn’t already posted ages ago. This site is where it’s at and this douchebag is just hating because he couldn’t find a pulse if he were measuring it by the cock throbbing in his mouth. I don’t understand what the fuck “ruining the blog scene” means exactly, so I won’t even comment there, but as far as I can see, respecting artists would entail paying for their music or encouraging people to buy their music, which FYOF does rather frequently. I don’t know what’s going on in France, but electro is dead as shit here in NYC, so when I see a picture of Lil Jon of ALL FUCKING PEOPLE on this hooker’s blog with a caption that says “electro ain’t dead”, I can only roll my eyes. I’ve always found hatred to be flattering, it just shows that people are jealous or envious of you enough to take the time to spit at you. Keep on doing what you’re doing FYOF. why even respond to comments like that. you guys post great tracks on this site but the same day you post a track here i’m sure some other blog somewhere is posting the same thing. thats the nature of the blogland. is it “ruining the blog scene” well who knows and who cares. with any new technology (aka blogs) the people who got in on it early (floukids, bigstereo, discobelle, etc.) build a larger viewer base than others. does that mean they are the best? No. Do they post good and bad tracks? Yes. I check this blog because i enjoy the selection of tracks they post more often then the music blogs that have been around longer like the one’s i just mentioned.
if another blog posted the same exact tracks as this blog or any other blog….who cares! the fact is, no blog has claim of any music they don’t make. the point is to spread word about the artist who is making the music (aka help out the artist).
why team up with the misshapes? more exposure? i won’t hate on them….i just don’t understand peoples fascination with them. Maybe they’re nice people i guess.

i dont think he was referring to reposting or stealing links, etc etc…he was implying that my intention is only to have high traffic, and not help the artists become more well known (mainly b/c I don’t write much text and say things like “epic banger” 1000x times)
i’ll state my intention: to give people what theyre already looking for, and maybe turn them on to something old or weird or fun or not-trendy or whatever. i feel like i show the artist/music MORE respect by keeping my mouth shut, and letting their work speak for itself. if its good, people will buy it. i don’t need to convince them to do so.
and as far as the Misshapes are concerned, no, it’s not for more exposure. they’re old friends and this has been in the works for awhile now. most people who hate on them have never met them.

i’ve started to hate blogs more and more, and now i probably only do it for some friends with whom i’ve always discussed music. a music blog isn’t about posting music, which this blog is only about, it’s about enhancing it and helping to the general culture of music, of which this blog does neither. my blog doesn’t either, but at least i sometimes take the time to really blog, and write about things, not just posting every new thing that comes out. this is a kidzbycolette 2.0 and i’m not bothered in the least to see you have so many supporters, because frankly i expect you to have so many. songs are still good if another blog has posted them, and they aren’t necessarily good if justice remixed them. admittedly, my comment was unnecessarily blunt, but the author of this blog says nothing of the childish response he sent me.
anyway, keep listening to blog house kids. eventually something new will become cool and you guys will catch on about a year late.

Eric, i’d never name names, but i can think of other blogs that have tons and tons of text, but are completely heartless and silly. Many have quality control problems, and overflow with bedroom DJ remixes and reposted crap. I try to filter out the nonsense, give ppl what theyre looking for, and be totally random/fun at the same time. Most people already know the backstory of the artist/DJ that theyre seeking out.
As you saw, this blog has a second home, where I’ll “take time to really blog” and whatnot.
There’s no real agenda here. I love music. And wish you well.
